Sag Harbor, NY: 19th Century Industrial building repurposed into luxurious residential condominiums...10'-12' ceiling heights, 7'x3'6" six over six windows & mechanical systems concealed beneath a raised floor system allowing for original beamed ceiling structural details.

Overall view of the interior of the project space...a bit of a challenge.

Formerly a vault where precious metals were stored, this space will be a den/study/guest space with access to terrace and (unlike the vault days) plenty of light!

The project is a penthouse apartment that opens to a 500 sf terrace.  The above elevation will feature a fireplace flanked by windows looking out to the terrace. The fireplace mantel will be custom limestone although  other material options such as wood are also under consideration for budgetary reasons. (More in this Blog on mantels and fireplaces down the road).  This image shows the rich detail of the ceiling beams dating to the 1880's and the original brick walls.  The raised flooring has not been installed.
